A PhD position is available at the Institute for Computational and Applied Mathematics, Georg-August-University Goettingen to replace 07/01/2012 a scientific staff member / employee of a scientific (Salary group 13 TV-L (75%)). Occupy temporarily for a period of three years.
Its remit includes the scientific work in the Working Group on Mathematical Signal and image processing, and implementation of courses with a total of three hours per week (in German). This site is a qualification spot for the purpose of obtaining a doctorate.
Requirements
- An above average rating good scientific university studies (Diploma / Master) in mathematics (or physics);
- Good knowledge in one or more of the areas of mathematical signal and image processing, functional analysis, Fourier Analysis / Wavelets, Numerical Analysis, which can be detected by attending appropriate courses during their studies or a diploma / master thesis are an advantage;
- Proven programming skills are desirable.
